Reviews
The hotel is very poorly managed. Just a few details:
1) The room was not made up even after lunch, despite the request sign from the morning. When I asked, instead of sending someone straight away, I was told that they had the task of redoing the rooms by 5pm, and therefore everything was in order. Never happened in my life!
2) Several things were missing from the room, delivered with at least two reminders and four hours late. Placing blame between various departments.
3) In the hotel entrance hall there is a grand piano left freely available to any child. The sound echoes up to the third floor, making any afternoon rest in the room practically impossible. And I'm talking about exclusive rooms.
4) waiting for everything: reception, food, room requests.
The resort has wonderful installations, among which many pools and leads straight to the beach. We graded food at 8 out of 10.
All these aspects helped mitigate the myriad of technical issues we have encountered, which lead to two room changes over a 5 night stay. Most of the inconvenience centered around condensed water leaking into the room from the air conditioner. After torre frustrated attempts to repair it and an ensuing mold odor, we were given another room.
Despite all the adversities stemming from a systemic maintenance deficit, we’ve had an overall pleasant stay.
From the moment we arrived to when we left the staff couldn't do enough for us. We arrived rather late, and reception insisted that yes, we should eat first and check in later so we didn't have to rush dinner. Our villa had a good sized …
If you like dancing in your bedroom, you would love Meliá Atlanterra. From 8pm until 11pm every night they would play music outdoors karaoke style, entertain children or do whatever activity they choose for the day at a volume that could …
Very disappointing all round - especially for the price paid. Constantly queuing for meals, breakfast, coffee machines that were rarely working - and topped off by very poor service. When escalating issues to management, they were indifferent (to put it mildly). Avoid.
Tacky, noisy hotel.
Beware of rooms on the North side of the hotel - faulty equipment on the building below creates a disturbing noise 24/7. Elsewhere loud music is played in all spaces - often competing with other music from another area, so you hear two lots at once.
We had to move room twice.
Beach is beautiful though!
Very nice clean hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. The food both in the hotel and hotel’s Chirinquito was superb. The Hotel is well located only 8mins drive from Zahara de los Atunes, which in itself is worth visiting. …
We had a very bad experience in this hotel. First when we came in it turned out that when booking “teo bedrooms” as there were two of us with two small kids we got two seperate rooms. Then we got transfered into “family room” which was very outdated and not clean. Worth to mention that we paid for the weekend €1700 which is pretty high price and you would expect better quality. The food was fine though we were surprised that the full board doesn’t come even with soft drinks for either lunch or dinner. Then since we missed 3 meals as we decided to leave early we asked for some picnic food as we were hoping to get nice basket of fruits and other goods. We got two cans of water, two juices and two sandwiches with toast bread and two bananas. We don’t recommend this hotel to anyone as this is a simple waste of money, unless you don’t care about the quality at all.
